An update for the version 4.6 of Emby Server, which was released a few days ago, has been released. This media server for Windows, Linux, FreeBSD, macOS and various NAS devices can index and serve content to clients on the same machine, within the local network or over the Internet. Until version 3.6 it was open source, but is no longer . Clients are available for the aforementioned operating systems, among others, but content can also be viewed on iOS, Android, various media players and Google TV, for example. The program is therefore comparable to Plex Media Server . The complete release notes with screenshots can be found on this page , this is the same text without pictures:

Emby Server 4.6.1 Released

A small update to our 4.6 release is currently rolling out to address a few minor issues that came up. Here are the highlights:

  • Resolve sporadic database locked errors (may require an additional server restart)
  • Various fixes related to non-standard episode naming
  • Fix library options sometimes appearing to not save
  • Fix regression in xmltv series identification (requires running the live tv guide refersh)
  • Fix clicking see all on next up showing an empty list
  • Fixes for GameBrowser
  • Fix multi-select remove from playlist when removing the same track with multiple selections
  • Improve metadata editor lock icon
