VMware Inc. has released the second beta version of VMware Player with version number 1.0.0 build 18007. It can run virtual machines created with VMware Workstation, GSX Server or ESX Server. Microsoft virtual machines and Symantec’s LiveState Recovery disks are also supported. Several already installed virtual machines can be used via this page are brought in, such as SUSE LINUX Enterprise Server 9, Novell Linux Desktop 9 and Red Hat Enterprise Linux 4. These can also be equipped with Oracle 10g or MySQL Network. Unfortunately, a changelog is not available, so the changes remain unknown.
