Download UseBB 1.0.8

The developers behind UseBB have just released the eighth update to the 1.0 codebase of this open source bulletin board program. UseBB is intended for a website with a small to medium-sized group of visitors and is developed in PHP and MySQL and is therefore platform independent. UseBB 1.0 is already from mid-2004 and the development team realizes that there are quite a few things that could be improved. That is why we are working hard on version 2.0 and only minor updates for the 1.0 version appear. This release contains several bug fixes, including fixes for some full path disclosure vulnerabilities. The full changelog of this release looks like this:

• Fixed a few full path disclosure vulnerabilities (reported by Ilia Alshanetsky).
• Fixed bug #1700: “From” in email messages gets split.
• Fixed an SQL error when passing negative “page” GET variable.
• Fixed a few potential “Array to string conversion” notices.
• Allow terms of use text to contain HTML markup.
• Added moderator info to member edit pane in ACP.
• Give visual notice when accessing 403 Forbidden RSS feed.
• Moved 403 and 404 headers to constants HEADER_40x.
• Renamed MSN to Windows Live Messenger and changed profile URLs (spaces.live.com).
