Upcoming Assassin’s Creed Unity Patch Should ‘Drastically’ Improve Game Experience
Ubisoft says it is already working on a third patch for the recently released Assassin’s Creed Unity. Most common bugs should be fixed, but there doesn’t seem to be a fix for the framerate issues yet.
The third patch should fix all kinds of bugs. When it comes to gameplay, some camera and other animation issues are fixed among other things. In certain areas where players frequently get stuck, Ubisoft is adding extra harvestmen for more cover. It also includes fixes related to NPCs, connectivity issues in co-op mode, and various crashes and bugs.
The framerate issues that players are complaining about may not be fixed with the third patch. Assassin’s Creed Unity runs at thirty frames per second by default, but the frame rate would drop to below twenty when the screen is pressed. Ubisoft doesn’t seem to have found a solution to the problem yet. The developer says it is investigating the bug and is trying to find a solution.
Ubisoft emphasizes that the list of fixes is not yet final. So it is possible that a few more things will be added. The third patch is supposed to be bigger than the predecessor and should ‘drasically’ improve the gaming experience. It is not yet known when Ubisoft will make the patch available.
