Zotac has announced new mini PCs in its Zbox Magnus series. There will be models with the AMD Ryzen 5 1400 CPU and variants with the Intel Core i5-7300HQ laptop processor. The small boxes contain a GTX 1060 or GTX 1070 video card.

The new ER models in the Magnus series are equipped with the AMD processor. The Ryzen 5 1400 is a quad-core that can work on eight threads and runs at a speed of 3.2GHz to 3.4GHz. The processor has a TDP of 65 watts.

Zotac does not report on which motherboard the processor will be plugged in, the box with dimensions of 225x203x128mm probably contains a modified pcb. The same is probably true for the Magnus EK models, which have an Intel Core i5-7300HQ laptop processor.

The video cards are the desktop versions of the GTX 1060 3GB and GTX 1070. Up to 32GB DDR4 memory in Sodimm format can be plugged into the system and there is room for an m2 SSD and a 2.5″ HDD or SSD. An Optane SSD can also be used with the Intel variants.

The boxes have two USB 3.1 gen2 connections, an HDMI 2.0 port and three displayport 1.4 connections. Zotac supplies the mini PCs with or without Windows 10. The new models have been added to the website, but the manufacturer has not yet announced prices.
