Xiaomi presents wireless in-ear AirDots headphones

Xiaomi has announced a new in-ear headphones. The Mi AirDots are completely wireless and connect to a device via bluetooth 5.0. The headphones will cost 199 yuan. That is converted to 25 euros. A release date has not yet been announced.

Xiaomi Today notes the parallels between Apple’s AirPods and the AirDots. Both headphones have a minimalist, white design. Like the AirPods, the headphones come with a case that doubles as a wireless charger.

The case offers a battery life of up to twelve hours. In stereo mode, the headphones’ batteries can last up to four hours, and five hours in mono mode. This is partly possible due to the use of bluetooth 5.0, which uses less energy than the previous versions.

The headset includes controls on the outside. With two touches, the Xiao voice assistant, which is exclusive to Xiaomi smartphones, is activated. In addition, the user can play and pause sound clips with a touch, and answer or hang up the phone via the AirDots.
