WinFuture shares suspected specs of unannounced Sony WF-1000XM5 earbuds

WinFuture has shared the suspected specifications of the unannounced Sony WF-1000XM5 earbuds. For example, they would receive updated drivers. It is not yet known when and at what price the earplugs will become available.

According to the German WinFuture the earbuds will be officially introduced in the coming days. According to that website, the WF-1000XM5 weigh 5.9g and have so-called Dynamic Driver X drivers with a diameter of 8.4mm. Both earbuds have three microphones to pick up ambient noise and ensure that the active noise cancellation works properly.

The German website writes that the earbuds support HiRes audio and DSEE Extreme, according to Sony. In addition, the WF-1000XM5 is said to have bone conduction sensors and Precise Voice Pickup technology, which would always allow the wearer’s voice to be picked up during conversations, even in noisy environments.

According to WinFuture, the charging case for the earbuds will have a 500mAh battery. This means they can be charged several times for a total battery life of 24 hours. It is not yet known how long the earbuds will last on a single charge. According to information from WinFuture, the battery in the housing can provide the earbuds with an hour of battery life in three minutes. The WF-1000XM5 could be fully charged in two hours.

The device also has support for Bluetooth 5.3 and can be connected to several devices at the same time. Finally, the WF-1000XM5 are IPX4 certified, which means they should be able to withstand sweat and splash water.
