‘Western Digital will soon launch an SN580 SSD, an upgrade from the SN570 entry-level model’

Some web shops have a product page online showing the as yet unannounced Western Digital SN580. The M.2 SSD appears to be an upgrade of the SN570 entry-level model. No official price or release date has been announced yet.

The SN580 has probably exchanged the PCIe 3.0 standard for the PCIe 4.0 standard and seems to be available in configurations of 500GB, 1TB and 2TB, notes TechPowerUp. The product page of the MercadoMagico webshop states that the NVMe SSD should be released on July 31 of this year. It is not yet clear whether this is placeholder information or a correct indication of the upcoming product.
