Users Complain OS X Yosemite Update Doesn’t Fix Wi-Fi Issues

Apple has released an update to OS X Yosemite that should improve Wi-Fi connectivity. Operating system update 10.10.1 does not seem to solve the problems that many people are experiencing, however.

The OS X Yosemite 10.10.1 update should fix a number of bugs. Among other things, the reliability of sending mail and the connection to Microsoft Exchange servers must be improved. The most important patch, however, is to improve Wi-Fi reliability.

OS X Yosemite users complained about slow and choppy Wi-Fi connections right after the update was released, and in many cases, the connection failed to establish at all or was lost after a short time. There have been several threads about this on Apple’s forum, which in one case has more than 1000 responses.

There, several users say that the update offers no solace. “The Wi-Fi ‘fixes’ in the update did not resolve the router disconnection problem,” says jt19220, for example. “No surprise, but 10.10.1 isn’t a fix for me either,” Elkhawg said. The issues occur on several Mac systems with multiple routers. Users exchange tips about solutions, but no solution seems to work for everyone.
