Twitch.tv to stream eSportliga eLeague matches

Streaming website Twitch has signed an agreement with eLeague, the league that pits professional gamers against each other in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. The streaming platform will show live matches three to four days a week.

The agreement between the eLeague and Twitch will take effect on Tuesday, May 24. Then users will be able to watch six matches a day on Tuesday and Wednesday. Depending on whether a season is underway, matches will also be offered on Thursdays. Finally, weekly finals are shown on Fridays. For this, eLeague has set up its own channel, on which the vods are also placed. Certain content from the eLeague will also be broadcast on the American television channel TBS.

ELeague is a new tournament within the eSports world where 24 professional CS:GO teams compete against each other in two seasons of ten weeks each. The league is giving away a total of just over a million euros in prize money. On May 24, the first matches will be played with the teams Luminosity, Liquid, Renegades and Cloud9.
