BillP Studios has updated WinPatrol to version 8.1.2.0. With this program Windows can be made faster and more stable. It also detects and stops spy, ad and malware, virus attacks, malicious Internet Explorer addons and prevents homepage hijacks. Finally, it monitors a number of other things, including the processes running on the PC, the hosts file, and file extensions. In addition to the free version, there is also a Plus variant which provides access to a database with extensive information about safe and malicious programs and processes.
