Spread the love

Vivaldi is a web browser developed by former Opera employees. He mainly focuses on power users and users of Opera for the switch to Chromium. Vivaldi has extensive features such as mouse gestures, tab stacking, extensive keyboard shortcuts and annotation on web pages. The browser is free and is being developed for Windows, Linux and OS X. After four so-called technical previews, the first beta version was released a month and a half ago and now the second has been released. The changelog is up this page to see, this is the announcement:

Vivaldi browser Beta 2 is here in time for holidays

Early this year, we released our first Technical preview. Since the release of TP1, we have gotten a lot of positive feedback, encouragement, and support. The idea of making a browser for our friends and ourselves seems to have resonated with lots of people around the world.
The trend for browsers today is simplification. We are more about individual design. Every user deserves a browser that adapts to their needs. We want you to feel that Vivaldi is truly made for you and the feedback we are getting indicates that we are on the right track!

After 4 technical previews, 2 Betas and almost 12 more months of hard work, we are getting closer to a Vivaldi 1.0. Even though we still have a lot of work ahead of us, it is a good feeling to see what we have accomplished this year as a team and as a community.

Thank you all for the support you provided us throughout the year. 2015 has been a great year for us and I hope it has been the same for all of you.

We will continue to work hard in 2016, and together with you, we will develop the very best web browser for you and for us and a browser which we can all love and be proud of.
