Software Update: VirtualBox 5.2.16

Oracle has released the eighth update for version 5.2 of VirtualBox. VirtualBox can be used to install other operating systems in a virtual environment on a computer. In this way it is possible to use different operating systems on the same hardware side by side and at the same time. VirtualBox is available for Windows, macOS, Linux and Solaris, and is able to guest operating systems to turn. In version 5.2, among other things, the ability to export virtual machines to the Oracle Cloud. In version 5.2.16, the following adjustments have also been made:

  • OVF: case insensitive comparison of manifest attribute values, to improve compatibility (bug #17357)
  • Linux: build for openSUSE 15.0 (bug #17554)
  • Linux: various build fixes for distribution builds, thank you Gianfranco Costmagna
