Software update: Ubuntu 22.04.3 LTS

Version 22.04.3 of the Linux distribution Ubuntu has been released, a version that will receive five years of support. A new version is published twice a year and the year and month of release form the version number. These versions are supported for nine months. Once every two years a version is released that will be provided with updates for five years, not nine months. Version 22.04 is codenamed Jammy Jellyfish, runs on Linux Kernel 5.17 and uses Gnome 42 as the default desktop environment. More information about this release can be found here Omg! Support life span

Maintenance updates will be provided for 5 years until April 2027 for Ubuntu Desktop, Ubuntu Server, Ubuntu Cloud, and Ubuntu Core. All the remaining flavors will be supported for 3 years. Additional security support is available with ESM (Extended Security Maintenance).
