Software Update: Tor Browser 10.5.10

Spread the love

Version 10.5.10 of Tor Browser has been released. Tor stands for The Onion Router and is a network that can be used to surf the Internet fairly anonymously. All users’ tcp traffic is routed through various Tor routers, after which it is virtually impossible for the receiver to find out who the original sender was. This information is still present within the Tor network, so that answers, of course also via the system of routers, eventually arrive at the right place. The changelog for this release can be found below:

New Release: Tor Browser 10.5.10

This version updates Firefox on Windows, macOS, and Linux to 78.15.0esr, which includes important security updates to firefox. Note: 10.5.9 was an Android-only release.

warning
Tor Browser will stop supporting version 2 onion services very soon. Please see the previously published deprecation timeline† Migrate your services and update your bookmarks to version 3 onion services as soon as possible.
