Version 5.0.2 of SciTE has been released. Scintilla Text Editor is an open source and cross platform text editor. It uses the open source Scintilla Text Editor library, which is from the same creators. This library is also used by other programs, including Notepad++. Downloads are available for Windows and Linux, and a commercial version for macOS can be found in Apple’s app store. In addition, there is a standalone executable that can be conveniently carried on a USB stick. This release fixes the following three issues:
- On Cocoa with macOS 11, use plain style for autocompletion to fix problems with truncating text and padding. This makes autocompletion look the same on macOS 11 as macOS 10. Bug #2248.
- On Windows, fix encoding used for text display with DirectWrite. Bug #2246.
- Implement font locale SCI_SETFONTLOCALE. Initially only for DirectWrite on Win32. Bug #2027.
