An update was released this weekend for version 3.44 of Sandboxie. With this program it is possible to run other programs under Windows in a protected environment. In this way, changes caused by programs such as Internet Explorer can be easily undone and there is no risk of affecting important parts of the operating system. Sandboxie can be used on Windows 2000 and above and a lifetime license costs 31 euros. Last week, Microsoft released a Windows update that stopped Sandboxie from working under Windows 2000 and XP. Version 3.442 fixes this issue:
Fixes a problem with Windows Update KB979683, which was released on April 13, 2010, and causes Sandboxie to stop working on Windows XP and Windows 2000 computers.
