Software Update: Open Shell 4.4.143

Spread the love

Open Shell is a program that allows you to customize the appearance of Windows Explorer, Internet Explorer, the start button, and the start menu in Windows 7, 8, and 10. In Windows 8 or later, it can also add a classic start button and start menu. However, in November 2017, the developer of Classic Shell indicated to stop with further developments and the source code has ended up as open source on GitHub, where it is now known as Open Shell. Version 4.4.143 was released a few days ago, a version that is offered as a development version. This release fixes the following issue:

Fix issue with confirmation dialog being blocked

Delete confirmation dialog may be (partially) hidden behing start menu. As a result the dialog may be not accessible because start menu(s) are displayed as top-most windows.

Thus when executing menu command we will make menu(s) non-topmost. So that other windows can be drawn on top of menu(s).
