Software Update: Netscape 8.0.1

The Netscape 8.0 released yesterday has been upgraded to version 8.0.1 today. This new Netscape can be downloaded as web installer or if full installation† Version Series 8 has technology onboard against phishing by using a blacklist that is refreshed three times a day, support for tabbed browsing and an RSS feed that shows the latest news. The reason for the minor upgrade to 8.0.1 is that Netscape 8.0 is based on Mozilla Firefox 1.0.3, which in turn was patched to version 1.0.4 due to a number of security bugs.
