Download Mozilla Firefox 5.0.1

Mozilla has released the first update to version 5.0 of its web browser Firefox. Mozilla Firefox is available for Windows, Linux, and Mac OS X, and can be downloaded in many languages. New in version 5.0 include improved support for HTML 5 and the ability to display CSS animations. Optimizations have also been implemented that should speed up the opening of web pages. In this first update, we find a fix for two problems under Mac OS X.

The latest version of Firefox has the following changes:

• Worked around an issue in Mac OS X 10.7 that could cause Firefox to crash
• Worked around an issue caused by Apple’s “Java for Mac OS X 10.6 Update 5” where the Java plugin would not be loaded
