Software Update: Miranda IM 0.4.0.2 RC1

After no less than 43 test builds or alpha releases, the first release candidate of Miranda IM 0.4.0.2 has been released today. Miranda can connect to AIM, ICQ, MSN, Yahoo, and IRC networks by default. More networks and functionality can be added through plugins, such as a spam filter, extra configuration options, integration with other software and customizing the interface. According to own say 0.4.0.2 is nothing more than the 0.4.0.1 release with the TOC2 version of the AIM.dll. It was also indicated that it is better not to install this version over a previously installed alpha release, as the risk of corruption of the data files is high.
