Download Linux Kernel 2.5.60
On Kernel.org a new member has recently appeared in the 2.5 development tree of the linux kernel. This time we can version 2.5.60 down over our internet connection. As always the changelog is so big that it is not possible to be listed here, but you can here click to view the changelog. Linus tells us the following about this release:
Ok, this contains a lot of patches all over the map, since there were two weeks of merging to be done (and the merging took almost a week).
Networking, USB, SCSI, ALSA, ACPI, and various architecture updates (UML, Sparc, ia64, ppc64 and ARM).
And obviously part of the merge from Andrew Morton.
And Roland McGrath has been fixing POSIX thread signal handling, and that in turn ended up causing a lot of downstream fixes in affected areas.
