The update has been given build number 5335.5 and is available from this location downloaded as an installation package. What exactly has changed in this new version is not known, but in all probability this release is ‘feature complete’, meaning no new features will be added until the final version. For those interested, Microsoft has a “information index‘ made available in which the (new) features of IE7 are discussed in detail. Internet Explorer 7 is the latest branch of the standard Windows browser. Compared to the 6 series of IE, this branch will include a number of new features, including tabbed browsing, improved PNG format support, and protections such as anti-spoofing and anti-phishing technology to help users surf the net more securely. In addition, RSS feeds can be collected and IE7 will better adhere to web standards and formats.
