Software Update: Gnome Partition Editor Live CD 0.3.4-7

Gnome Partition Editor, or GParted for short, is capable of partitioning a hard drive and modifying those partitions. GParted uses GNU libparted to implement the changes in the partition table and gtkmm to build the user interface according to its own ‘Gnome Human Interface Guidelines’. The source code of Gparted can in turn be used according to the gpl license. A few days ago, the developers of GParted released a new version of the live CD. This concerns version 0.3.4-7, which by clicking on this link can be downloaded as an iso file. This ISO must be burned as a bootable CD after which the partition program is booted and can be used under Linux kernel 2.6 via the windows manager Fluxbox. What changes the developers have made in version 0.3.4-7 can be read below:

    GParted-livecd has been released to gparted-livecd-0.3.4-7 !

    Since Gentoo-livecd has been released, our livecd is now based on gentoo-2007.0. You will find some new options to boot HP notebooks and External usb-cdrom. Packages have been updated. Have fun!
