This robot has very impressive hands
The robot NEO has been given hands and they are impressive. This can be seen in a new video posted online by 1X, the Norwegian-American company behind the robot. We see how the robot handles a wine glass, but also plays with LEGO, closes a zipper and performs more activities with its hand that are extremely difficult. Everyday, but difficult: these are things that you cannot leave to a child, for example.

NEO’s grippy hands also resemble those of a human and have 25 fully powered degrees of freedom in the fingers, palm and thumb. The wrist has tendons and tactile sensors to enable precision interaction in a variety of everyday tasks: we even see it replacing a light bulb.
