Download FreeKiSS 0.5

Yesterday Michaël Arnauts provided his brainchild FreeKiSS with an update to version 0.5. This open source program is intended for DVD/DivX players with network option, such as the KiSS DP-500 and DP-1500 series, and can stream audio and video files to the player. In version 0.5 the following changes have been made:

FreeKiSS

• Added:
  • Added support for Nero Digital video files on the DP-558 (firmware 1.1.2+)
• Fixed:
  • More information is added to the log (listing files)
  • Fixed decoding of images due to missing delegates.mgk file
  • Bug #1177629: Fixed streaming or locked files
  • Fixed streaming of files with an invalid timestamp

FreeKiSS Client

• Added:
  • Subtitles are downloaded automatically along with the movies
• Fixed:
  • Problem where a server would be added multiple times
  • Don’t freeze when the server disconnects without a reason
• Changed:
  • Smaller blocksize for downloading of files (64 kB), this is faster
