If you don’t want to miss a second of his or her favorite soap, series or film, you can use the For The Record program to record the images from the existing TV card on the PC. The program makes use of an intelligent ruleset, so that it is, for example, possible to record all CSI episodes that are broadcast between 7 and 11 p.m. and that have not been recorded before. For The Record can make use of online TV guides, so that the programming does not have to be entered manually. For more information, please refer to this instruction manual in pdf format. For The Record 1.5.0.1 released

Version 1.5.0.1 of For The Record and Argus has been released. This is a maintenance release with a very strong focus on improving the Live Tv experience. Here is the short list of implemented changes since 1.5.0.0:

• Improved live TV.
• Added support for E-AC3 and Dolby Digital Plus.
• Built in auto-restart of the Argus windows service in case of an exception during initialization.
• Some management console improvements
• Scanning will now start/stop the graph to improve reliability.
• Added additional settings to the CardHost config.
• Fixed connection to core services from Argus MMC (setting is now saved).
• Fixed ATSC transponder comparison for pure ATSC (antenna, non-QAM).
• Fixed priorities of cards, they will now be given the priority as they appear in the Cards panel.
• Fixed detection of HVR-2250 ATSC card under Windows 7.
• Fixed card allocation bug when the cam-limit was reached for overlapping recordings.
• Fixed some issues with zapping channels in the MP client (between radio/TV).
• MediaPortal: added support for 1.1 RC3 release (replaces RC2 support).
• Added more countries to Cables.xml.
• Updated satellites.xml.
