Download foobar2000 1.1.6 beta 4

The fourth beta release of foobar2000 version 1.1.6 has been released. This popular music player can handle MP3, aac, ogg vorbis, flac and ogg flac, wav and wma, among others, and has support for Replay Gain. Furthermore, the player can convert different formats and the program has extensive options to adjust the tags. In addition, it is possible to change the functionality using plugins to expand further. Version 1.1.6 has, among other things, improved performance when playing very short songs and improved compatibility for labels created by other programs. The following improvements have been made in this release:

id3v2 (mp3) changes from beta 3:

• iTunes-private COMM frames are ignored so they don’t pollute comment fields and are always preserved when retagging.
• Added support for more iTunes-specific fields.

mp4 changes from beta 3:

• Added support for more iTunes-specific fields.
• Unknown or unsupported Apple metadata atoms are preserved when retagging.

RG scanner:

• Mono files now treated as dual mono
