Files is an open source file manager and can best be described as a modern version of Windows Explorer, with many extras such as tabs, themes, integration with online storage services and labels. Files does not replace Windows Explorer, but can simply be used alongside it. You can download from the Windows Store or from GitHub† Version 2.1.7 was released a few days ago and the changelog of that version looks like this:
