In the category ‘for curious minds’ we find today the program DVD Plus Identifier. Based on the ADIP information present on a DVD+R(W), this software determines from which factory and from which producer the relevant disc comes. This is interesting when you compare different brands of DVD+R(W)’s; maybe that one unbranded thing comes from the same band as that expensive well-known brand. DVD Plus Identifier has only been in development since the beginning of this month, which is why the updates follow each other very quickly. The developer is even so fanatical that tomorrow’s update is already on the site:
