Software Update: DivX Codec 4.02

Thanks to bokkel we found out that a new version of the DivX codec for Windows has been released. The 4.02 codec improves the encoding performance by 20 percent if we are to believe the release notes. Furthermore, there are again improvements to the playback quality:

So what’s new in DivX 4.02? Well, it’s completely re-written to improve performance and visual quality. The code base is different from all earlier versions, including the open-source OpenDivX codec. Some new features: * Items in red refer to 4.02 improvements.
