Software update: CrossLoop 2.60

Spread the love

CrossLoop has been updated to version 2.60. With this program a connection can be made with another computer to provide assistance there, for example. The program is based on TightVNC with its own user shell around it, with the emphasis on simplicity in use. This allows even the most inexperienced user to be talked through the process of installing the program and establishing a connection. Every time the program is started, it generates a unique 12-digit code that must be passed on to the person who wants to take over the PC. In addition, the receiving side also has to confirm once that the PC can be taken over.

The program is free to use and an account only needs to be created if you intend to sell your knowledge and experience to others. For example, statistics about your sessions are kept, payments can be set up and implemented and others can give you an appreciation for the help provided. Here’s what’s changed in this release:

Key Features of CrossLoop V2.60

  • This new version of CrossLoop is fully compatible with Windows 7.
  • CrossLoop can now be installed on Vista and Windows 7 without administrator privileges.
  • Once a screen sharing session begins, the client “Remote Connection Info…” menu can be selected to display information about the remote client. This is particularly important for CrossLoop Helpers (Access Computer) because it shows the state of the remote client User Access Control (UAC).
