Software update: Central Brain Identifier 7.0.0.2 beta

Spread the love

Central Brain Identifier allows AMD processors to be identified. The program recognizes more than 50 models, including the new Athlon 64. It also provides detailed information such as core name, revision and voltage, frequency, rating, cache and PowerNow! technology. The changelog on the website doesn’t go beyond version 6.1 but that’s probably because version 7 is still in beta status. However, the following could be read:

Under active support of Philip Kaufmann the 5th beta version now has a Halt and Stop Grant Disconnect separate control function for the AMD64 processors and detects the default and current disconnect divisors for these low-power states. Besides, the CPU identification database of the “Brain” has been enhanced with the newest 64bit processor cores like San Diego, Winchester, Odessa, Dublin. Fixed a bug in the recognition of the some of chipsets. Added P-Rating calculation for the mobile Dublin core. [break]
