Software update: Auto Gordian Knot 1.93 beta

Auto Gordian Knot is a program that can easily convert DVDs and MPeg2 files to an avi file. DivX or XviD can be used for video compression and ac3, dts, cbr mp3 or vbr mp3 for sound compression. The developer recently released beta version 1.93 that must be installed over a stable version, the last of which was version 1.60 in the junk tracker. The included release notes look like this:

Changes:

• speedup of denoising for SSE2 & SSE3 capable CPUs (via different versions of RemoveGrain.dll)
• Reduced chance of oversized XviD encode in some cases
• min quantizer is reduced to 1 if undersize of XviD encode is expected
• encoding is aborted after first pass if number of frames was very different from expected (to prevent wasting time during second pass after first pass crashed)
• DGIndex updated to version 1.2.1
• ColorMatrix.dll is updated to version 1.9
