Software Update: Anope 1.7.10

The Anope program consists of a collection of IRC services that can be linked to an IRCD. The services include a NickServ, ChanServ, MemoServ and HelpServ with which the user is able to protect, among other things, his nickname and his chat channel. The developers have recently released version 1.7.10 on the website with the following announcement:

We strongly recommend networks running 1.7.x versions upgrade to 1.7.10 which fixes known issues.

Changes:

  • Updated install.vbs to detect SDK paths.
  • Removed trailing space for whois output.
  • Compiling on solaris and amd64 systems.
  • Possible segfault with do_part by using freed memory.
  • Long hosts got cut off when setting topic and host was recorded.
  • NSListOpersOnly works correctly.
  • Using variable for EVENT_PART_CHANNEL after freeing it.
  • Unable to make when using an old shell.
  • AnopeFini was called without mod_current_module_name set.
  • Unidentified users now have level -1 instead of 0 again.
  • Segfault in ns_maxemail when user’s email not set.
  • Compiler warnings when using make strict.
  • Segfault in os_clearmodes when chan had invites (+I) set.
  • Identified founders are now logged out if the channel is dropped.
  • Founders identified by pass can get founder chanmode again.
  • Segfault in ns_maxemail when passing wrong param count.
  • ULined servers still got their modes removed with SecureOps on.
  • Missing access checks when removing modes due to SecureOps.
  • Updated German language file.
  • German translation for all module pack modules
  • Removed “IRCDFILE” from the Makefile’s
  • Removed BOT LIST from BOT_BOT_SYNTAX
  • Nicer used of fgets, dont free the buffer.
