Sharp equips 15.6″ tablet with Core i5 and 3200×1800 pixels

Sharp has unveiled a tablet with a screen diagonal of 15.6 inches and a resolution of 3200×1800 pixels in its home country of Japan. The manufacturer focuses on business use and offers a stylus for the device, which does not have a stand.

With its resolution of 3200×1800 pixels on 15.6 inches, the RW-16G tablet from Sharp has a ppi value of 235. Sharp focuses on the business user and provides the tablet with Windows 8.1 Pro, although you can also choose for Windows 7 Professional.

Furthermore, the RW-16G has a Core i5-4200U, 4GB memory and a 128GB SSD. The tablet is approximately 12.5mm thick and weighs 1.25kg. With its battery capacity of 44Whr, the device would last about 9 hours. There are also three USB 3.0 ports, HDMI and mini display port, in addition to NFC support and a RPM module.

Sharp focuses on business users and the images show the tablet in combination with a keyboard. However, the manufacturer does not seem to provide this as an accessory and there is also no standard to put the tablet upright. The price of the device is unknown. Delivery will start in March, but it is not clear whether Sharp will also deliver to Europe.
