Samsung brings camera functions Galaxy S22 to older models
Samsung is going to bring camera functions from the Galaxy S22 to older models with the One UI 4.1 update. These include pet detection and the ability to combine portrait and night modes.
It is still unknown when the update will come to which phone. Only the S21 gets all camera functions, according to the list that Samsung has put online. The S20 and Note20 only get the night portrait feature, something the FE models don’t get. They do have pet recognition again, which the S20 and Note 20 do not get.
The new camera functions are on the S22, S22+ and S22 Ultra. It happens more often that Samsung makes the new camera functions available for previous models. That happened last year, for example. The updates for all phones should be available before the end of June.
