Samsung announces 27″ QD OLED panel with 360Hz refresh rate

Samsung Display has started mass production of smaller QD OLED panels and announced a 27″ panel with a 360Hz refresh rate. The first QD OLED monitors will hit the market in 2024 and will be released by various manufacturers.

The tech giant starts initially producing 31.5″ QD OLED panels for monitors with a resolution of 3840×2160 pixels and a pixel density of 140ppi. Asus, Alienware and MSI, among others, have announced monitors that use this panel. The first monitors from the relevant format is expected in 2024. Samsung Display is the only manufacturer that produces QD OLED panels.

Later, the South Korean manufacturer says that a 27″ QD OLED panel will be made with a refresh rate of 360Hz. This panel has a response time of 0.03ms. The 27″ variant should also be launched on the market in 2024. ‘international partners’. The company expects to double the number of QD OLED panels produced for monitors by 2024.
