Rumor: HTC U12 will get dual camera and up to 256GB storage

The specifications of the HTC U12 have appeared online. It would be a smartphone with a 5.99″ screen with a resolution of 2880×1440 pixels. Unlike its predecessors, the U12 has a dual camera.

HTC would have opted for a dual camera with 12 megapixels and 16 megapixels in Sony’s IMX3xx series for the U12, codenamed Imagine. Last year’s U11 and U11+ both had a single camera. The front camera of the U12 would be an 8-megapixel model. The specifications come from customrom developer LlabTooFeR, who regularly releases correct information from HTC smartphones early.

The smartphone would also have up to 6GB of RAM and a maximum of 256GB of storage capacity. The battery capacity would be 3420mAh and the device would have an IP68 rating for water resistance. Furthermore, LlabTooFeR mentions the presence of Face Unlock and Edge Sense 2.0. The device would run Android 8.0 with Sense 10 and versions with one and two SIM slots would appear. The smartphone should appear sometime in April.
