Renders show possible design of Apple iPhone XR successor

Renders have been made based on CAD drawings that would show the design of the successor to the iPhone XR. At the back of the device is a square elevation containing two cameras and the flash.

The appearance of the iPhone XR successor is almost identical to that of the current version, only the part with the rear cameras is different. The new device would get two cameras instead of one. The iPhone XS and XS Max successors, of which renders have already appeared, are reportedly getting three cameras.

The renders are created by OnLeaks and put online in collaboration with Pricebaba. It is not yet clear what the successor to the iPhone XR will be called; OnLeaks suggests it could be the iPhone XE, but is now talking about the XR 2019.

The device would have dimensions of 150.9×76.1×7.8mm. The thickest part, where the cameras are, would be 8.5mm thick. The stated dimensions are almost the same as those of the current iPhone XR; the screen will again have a 6.1″ diagonal.

That the iPhone XR successor will get two cameras was previously mentioned by analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, who specializes in Apple. It seems obvious that the second camera is equipped with a telephoto lens, just like the current iPhone models with two cameras.
