Razer releases a water-resistant mechanical keyboard

Razer has released the BlackWidow Ultimate in the BlackWidow line of mechanical keyboards. This keyboard has water and dust resistance as its most characteristic feature.

The keyboard has been tested for resistance to water and dust particles, according to Razer, and has an IP54 rating. Furthermore, the manufacturer has provided the mechanical keyboard with a green backlight, which can be set separately for each individual key, for example via a light effect profile. The color cannot be adjusted and remains green.

The BlackWidow Ultimate has a lifespan of 80 million keystrokes, according to Razer. The mechanical switches have an actuation force of 50 grams. Furthermore, the keys can be set for specific macros. The keyboard is equipped with 10-key anti-hosting technology, so that pressing several keys at the same time is simply registered.

The keyboard is now available via the manufacturer’s website, but should also appear in stores in this fourth quarter. The Razer BlackWidow Ultimate costs 120 euros.
