Photos show old prototype Microsoft Xbox Watch

Photos have emerged of what should have been the Xbox Watch, a fitness-focused smartwatch from Microsoft. The company is said to have canceled the watch in favor of the Microsoft Band, which did come out.

Tweeter Hikaru Calyx shows the smartwatch in photos on his account. It is a watch from 2013 with a square screen and an interface that shows many tiles, like the Microsoft Band from 2014 eventually got.

Microsoft has canceled the Xbox Watch, as well as the Nokia Moonraker, a project that Microsoft got its hands on with the acquisition of Nokia’s phone business. Microsoft released two generations of its Band hardware, but canceled the third generation. Microsoft no longer has any wearables on the market.
