The PC version of the game Quantum Break lacks one notable feature. It is not possible for players to close the game from the menu. PCs also struggle to run the game stably.

If a player decides to do something else after a while, Quantum Break will not allow you to select the Quit option from a game’s home menu as usual, users reported on the Neogaf forum. The option is completely missing from the PC version of the game and forces players to exit the game through detours such as task manager or by pressing the Alt+F4 key command. Since the game is a Universal Windows App, it is also possible to exit the game by holding the mouse in the top right corner until the familiar cross appears. In the Universal Windows Platform framework, applications are forced to play in borderless windows.

The player also encounters a problem during the game itself. Several gamers have indicated that the PC version of Quantum Break has problems with the frame rate. For example, the game is said to handle sli poorly, a problem previously attributed as a problem with the UWP framework. There are also problems on some powerful cards. For example, it would not be possible to maintain 30fps on an Nvidia GTX 980, even on the low quality settings. On the Xbox One, the game does not have these problems, but on it the game runs at a resolution of 1280×720 pixels.

Remedy first announced Quantum Break only for the Xbox One. It was only in February of this year that Microsoft announced that it would also release the game for Windows 10. The game starts with experiments around time travel. An experiment goes wrong and as a result, the protagonist and his opponent gain powers related to manipulating time.
