Publisher Activision and developer Infinity Ward have announced Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. The new version will be released on October 25 and is a reboot of the series in which a game last appeared in 2011.

According to Infinity Ward, the new Modern Warfare game is more realistic than previous parts. The game also uses an improved engine that provides a significant graphical upgrade. The trailer that Activision released consists of in-game footage shot on a PlayStation 4 Pro.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is set in the present and the storyline consists of realistic scenarios, but they are not real situations. It’s about missions and a story that is inspired by reality. The game takes place in the Middle East and in cities such as London.

In single player mode, the player experiences the story from two sides. One half as a soldier and the other half as a rebel. The character Captain Price is back in the game. Activision has not yet released any information about the multiplayer part. The publisher will probably do that later.

The game will not get a season pass; There will be free expansions for all players. Furthermore, the developer promises crossplay support, where PC and console gamers can also play together. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare comes out on October 25 for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. The PC version only appears via Blizzard’s Battle.net launcher.
