The Netflix app for the Apple TV has been updated. The app will be transferred to the new media player that Apple introduced in tvOS 15, among other things. Apple TV 4K’s new Siri remote from 2021 is also supported.

The redesigned interface was recently rolled out in update 2.1.23, so noticed 9to5Mac and users on reddit on. With the update, Netflix supports the renewed media player that Apple introduced in tvOS 15. In the new interface, the title of series and movies is shown at the bottom left of the screen, with the episode name above it, according to photos by Twitter user Noah Evans.

On the right side of the screen, above the progress bar, there is a button to change the subtitles and the spoken language of a film or series. There is also a new info button, which allows users to switch to a page with additional details. Users can restart an episode there, browse other episodes, and view movie and series episode descriptions.

Furthermore, the Netflix app will receive support for the renewed Siri remote control, which Apple released with the Apple TV 4K version from 2021. The streaming service does not yet offer support for Apple’s TV app itself.
