More than two decades after its release, many people still have warm feelings for the legendary Nintendo 64 shooter GoldenEye 007. This includes Reddit user Krollywood, who spent 2.5 years recreating all eighteen levels with the Far Cry 5 level editor.

Krollywood says on Reddit Far Cry 5 itself ‘maybe’ played two hours, but bought the game mainly to be able to imitate GoldenEye. In his own words, this took him 1400 hours, but the result is impressive. According to Krollywood, the levels are “fully playable with lots of details” and easter eggs. He has merged some game levels into one Far Cry level. He uses the PlayStation 4 version of Far Cry 5.

The Krollywood levels are clearly not one-to-one copies, but the gamer has added extra details to them. For example, the train carriages in Train are more decorated with curtains, a clock, a ceiling lamp and a filled dining table. He has not only created the levels for personal entertainment, but can also be downloaded by others. In Arcade mode, players must search for his PSN tag Perfect-Dark1982, where his levels can be downloaded.

Krollywood tells Kotaku that he prefers the Far Cry 5 level editor because it is easy to use and contains many items. Players can not only use Far Cry items, but also items from the Assassin’s Creed and Watch Dogs series, for example. By the way, Krollywood is not going to copy other games in Far Cry 5: “I want to be able to play other games too!”
