Mozilla adds pull-to-refresh to stable version of Firefox for Android
Mozilla has added pull-to-refresh support to the stable Android version of its Firefox web browser. The software maker confirmed this on Tuesday. The feature has been in the Nightly test version of the mobile web browser since 2020.
Mozilla added pull-to-refresh in version 112.0 of Firefox. The feature allows users to refresh a web page by swiping down from the top of the screen. This is an optional feature, which users can disable in the settings under ‘Customize’ if desired.
The pull-to-refresh feature has been in other mobile web browsers for years, such as Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge and Apple’s Safari browser. Pull-to-refresh was also introduced in 2020 in Firefox Nightly, the test version of the web browser. The feature has been in the Firefox beta for Android since February. The iOS version of Firefox has already supported the feature for some time.
With Firefox 112 for Android, users also get the option to get a notification every time they press a link that would open in another app. Furthermore, the update implements several bug fixes, which, among other things, prevented 10bit videos from being played.
