Microsoft is working on keyboard and mouse support for Xbox Cloud Gaming

Microsoft is going to add keyboard and mouse support to Xbox Cloud Gaming. Developers are urged to add support for such peripherals. Officially, the service on PCs can currently only be used with a controller.

The arrival of keyboard and mouse support is briefly mentioned in a video from Microsoft on optimizing Xbox game streaming. Developer Morgan Brown calls on game developers to make their games compatible with peripherals, so that PC users will soon be able to play those games with keyboard and mouse.

It is not yet clear when the functionality will be available. Xbox Cloud Gaming will be available on PC through browsers and through the Xbox app midway through last year. The service is part of the Game Pass Ultimate subscription that costs thirteen euros per month. There are currently 373 games available within Game Pass that work with cloud streaming. That is about 80 percent of the total supply.
