Microsoft now gives users of Office 365 Home, Personal and University ‘unlimited’ OneDrive storage. The first users will see something of this on Monday, while the rest will notice something in the coming months.

Office 365 with unlimited OneDrive storage is available starting at $6.99 per month. Microsoft wants to make OneDrive, formerly SkyDrive, more interesting for potential customers with unlimited storage. It wants to do that by integrating the service more into personal and business tools it offers to customers.

Business Office 365 subscribers with OneDrive for Business will also receive unlimited storage, but according to Microsoft, that will only happen at the beginning of next year. Earlier this year, the software giant increased the cloud storage of OneDrive for Business from 25GB to 1TB.

OneDrive for Business is a relatively new product that is offered as a separate package and can be seen as a counterpart to services such as Dropbox and Box. The integration with the Office suite remains intact.
