LG has announced that the upcoming G6 smartphone will be equipped with two 13-megapixel cameras on the back. As with the G5 and V20, one of the cameras has a lens with a wide angle of view of 125 degrees.

The information comes from a press release that the manufacturer has distributed through its Korean site. This also shows that the camera on the front of the device has a field of view of 100 degrees. In addition, users should be able to switch from wide-angle mode to normal camera mode without interruption. The manufacturer also mentions the presence of a 360-degree panorama mode.

The South Korean manufacturer does not provide any further details about the brightness of the lenses or the sensors used. One of the two rear cameras can be used for wide-angle shots. Both cameras deliver the same image quality, according to LG. The two cameras have the same 13-megapixel resolution. With the LG G5 and the V20, which also have two cameras, the regular camera had a 16-megapixel sensor and the wide-angle camera an 8-megapixel resolution.

LG will announce its new device on February 26. According to previous information from the manufacturer, the G6 has a 32-bit quad-dac on board and a screen with an 18:9 ratio. The device is also sealed against moisture. There are rumors that the new ‘flagship’ has a 15 percent larger battery than the G5 model, with a capacity of 3200mAh.

On Friday, 9to5Google published some pictures of what the G6 would be. The dual camera can be seen on it. The device also presumably has an always-on screen for displaying notifications.
